What did I do wrong?
Hemorrhoids, also known as Piles, are a common disorder among many people. This uncomfortable and some times painful inflammation can happen to just about anyone at any time.
Causes of Hemorrhoids:
There are many different factors in what can cause a case of hemorrhoids. Age, illness and a job position may all cause this inflammation to the veins in and around the rectum.
Obesity can be a huge cause of hemorrhoids. This is due to the strain caused by excess weight on the rectum. A diet that is high in fiber, plenty of fluids and exercise can not only help with weight problems but also will help to keep the stools looser and make for less strain.
Many jobs require people to sit for extended period of times and can cause a case of hemorrhoids for the worker. Exercising, walking and stretching can help to prevent this.
Pregnancy can also bring on cases of hemorrhoids. Many pregnant women do not get enough fiber and fluids during pregnancy and can cause constipation. Fruit juices, water and fiber added to a diet can help to prevent constipation that causes hemorrhoids.
Any type of strain caused to the rectum and anus can create a case of hemorrhoids. Straining to the tissues during a bowel movement, because of constipation, is one of the leading factors to the inflammation.
Elderly people will often get problems with hemorrhoids. Over the years people will walk, sit and lift objects putting stress on the rectum. This stress from normal life activities is a leading reason why older people often have problems with hemorrhoids.
